PROFILE OF FEMI TOLANI

Femi is the Founder of Tolani Excellence Foundation, a family Charity that among other things gives Scholarships and Educational Grants to Nigerians; debuting with Scholarships and Grants to Students from his community-Osun-Ekiti (a community in Moba Local Government, Ekiti State, Nigeria).

Femi graduated from Obafemi Awolowo University in 1994 with a first class honours degree in Accounting. He became a Chartered Accountant in 1996.He also bagged an Msc degree in Investment Analysis (with distinction) from the University of Stirling, UK in 2004.

He started his career in banking and rose through the ranks to the position of Senior Manager at the United Bank for Africa Plc.He is currently pursuing career interest with one of the oil multinationals in Nigeria.

Femi is married to Yetunde, a Geologist and Geoinformatics Specialist. She currently runs The Freshgrace School-an affiliate of Tolani Excellence Foundation. They are blessed with three lovely children.

Principles

The 10 principles below encapsulate the Tolani family's beliefs about the role of philanthropy and the impact we want this foundation to have. These guide what we do, why we do it, how we do it and what we intend to do.

While many of them are germane to the way we operate, we will remain open to amending them as we grow and learn more about our area of influence.

1. This is a family foundation driven by the interests and passions of the Tolani family; particularly the Founder.
2. Philanthropy plays an important role in touching lives of people that are not related to us.
