Principles
The 10 principles below encapsulate the Tolani family's beliefs about the role of philanthropy and the impact we want this foundation to have. These guide what we do, why we do it, how we do it and what we intend to do.
While many of them are germane to the way we operate, we will remain open to amending them as we grow and learn more about our area of influence.
- This is a family foundation driven by the interests and passions of the Tolani family; particularly the Founder.
- Philanthropy plays an important role in touching lives of people that are not related to us.
- We are funders, inspirers and shapers.
- We are passionate about excellence.
- We must be humble and mindful in our actions and words. We seek and heed the counsel of outside voices.
- We treat the ultimate beneficiaries of our projects with respect.
- We treat each other as valued colleagues.
- Meeting our vision of -becoming the most useful channel of God's infinite resources to mankind-requires great accountability of the money we have available.
- We leave room for growth and are expectant of a better society through our modest contributions.
- We seek to spread love, make impact on our world and we are in it for the long haul.
